Call me crazy, but New York City was never on my list of places that I had to go visit. My sister repeatedly told me that I would love it, but I repeatedly did not listen to her… Back in January of 2011, with the encouragement of a friend (who adores NYC), I decided to go. What happened? I fell in love…

NYC reminded me so much of what I loved about Europe… lots of people walking, excellent transportation systems, neighborhood cafes and shops, etc. I spent a lot of time walking rather than taking the subway, and it did not take long for me to fall in love with this beautiful City. When I went, it was snowy and cold, and so I did not want to take too many pictures for fear of frostbite! Don’t worry, I still had a blast! NYC has been calling me back recently… I hope to go with my husband soon (he has not visited since he was 13!) Hopefully, in the next few months, we will be back!
